Standards

This is the baseline entry. You must satisfy this level before you can proceed any further. Provided that you do, you can then apply for recognition at any level of one or more of the following three themes:

Service (Servicemark)

Servicemark provides recognition for excellence in customer service. It is the national customer service standard and has been tried and tested in the Yorkshire and Humber region. Examples of issues within this theme include:

  • Customer experience
  • Communication with customers
  • Utilisation of feedback

People Development (Peoplemark)

Peoplemark measures how businesses invest in their staff. Examples of issues within this theme include:

  • Recruitment and retention of employees
  • Training and development
  • Induction and appraisal processes

Business Practice (Businessmark)

Businessmark measures the effectiveness of an organisation’s business practices. Examples of issues within this theme include:

  • Planning for the business
  • Marketing
  • Organisation of finances
