About The Regional Centre

 

The Regional Centre for Tourism Business Support - the tourism advice service- is a patnership project between Advantage West Midlands and Business Link West Midlands in the Heart of England region. It can provide you with a single point of contact through which you can find business information, specialist business advice and the training you need to develop your business. 

We offer the following services to all tourism, leisure and hospitality businesses throughout the Heart of England Region, whether large or small,start-up or established, Qulity assessed or not:

  • A FREE visit from a Tourism Business Advisor at a time and place to suit you. Our Tourism Business Advisors provide impartial and confidential advice and information during the visit, and can help you identify further specialist services if required.
  • FREE use of our Information Centre during office hours: phone 0845 241 8269 at a local rate call
  • Workshops and Events throughout the region.

Businesses that have an advisory visit are eligble to receive the following products that have been specially commissioned by the Centre, based on our experience of working with businesses

  • Business Planning CD ROM which includes cash flow forcasts and budgets
  • Tourism Marketing Strategy CD ROM taking a business step by step through the process of producing a tourism marketing plan- relevent to any tourism business
  • 'Data Protection: Your rights, Your responsiblities' leaflet specially commissioned by the RCTBS from information law and privacy specialists iCompli Ltd, and written with tourism and leisure operators in mind.
  • Receive regular updates from the Centre

 

Opportunity to have second visits

Businesses that have received a first visit may be eligble for a second FREE visit in the following circumstances:

  • A pre-start when first visited and has now been trading for 12 months
  • Expanding your business/targeting new markets
  • Need help complying with new legislation
  • Want to seek recognition within one of the Quality at Heart marks, and need help to meet entry standards
  • Applying for grant funding
